Rascal Flatts releases song in support of same-sex couples

Rascal Flatts is one of the only Country music groups that I like...I've been hooked on them since I heard their first single "Prayin' for Daylight" what seems like a million years ago.

Today they did something awesome to embrace ALL of their fans by releasing the song "Love Who You Love"... Check it out!

Custom DVDs from Warner Bros.

This is great! Warner Bros. just announced that they're opening up their vaults to allow people to order custom DVDs of movies that never made it to DVD. I can't wait to search the archives for some my favorite never-released-to-DVD films!!

10 Great Singers Who Are Terrible Dancers

This is a really fun article! I agree about Chris Martin. We saw Coldplay in November... Martin's a really bad dancer, but he's so enthusiastic and passionate about his performance that he's a really endearing performer.

In a word...YES.

In February, Calfornia Democrat assemblyman Tom Ammiano introduced legislation to legalize marijuana and reap major benefits for the state by taxing the drug. Time magazine's awesome article asks the question: Can Marijuana Help Rescue California's Economy? In a word...YES. Read the complete Time article...

What do you do with a drunken Playmate?

Playboy's May Playmate Crystal McCahill will go to court next week to answer DUI charges stemming from a January 2009 incident. I really think this begs the question, what do you do with a drunken Playmate?

Resident Evil 5!!!!

I am NOT a big gamer. In fact, in my 25 years I think I have finished a total of 2 video games: the Castlevania game for the Nintendo 64 and Resident Evil 4 for the Game Cube...which I beat 4 times. Because I LOVED Resident Evil 4 I am eagerly anticipating the release of Resident Evil 5, which comes out today...March 13, 2009. Now, I'd be doing back-flips that this game that I've been waiting for FOREVER is out today except for one thing...the dreaded XBox red rings of death. We got the rings of death a couple of days ago and will have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for our XBox to be repaired. So, so sad. Can my family survive 6 to 8 weeks without our XBox? Well, that remains to be seen...

Anyhow, Mahalo has some great pages on Resident Evil 5. Check them out:

Gospel Star In Assault Rap - March 12, 2009

Gospel singer BeBe Winans assaulted his ex-wife during an argument last month. Hmmm...that's certainly not very Christian!

Really?!

A survey of Boston teens by the Boston Public Health Commission finds that half of the teens in Boston think Rihanna was responsible for the *alleged* beating she received from boyfriend Chris Brown on February 8, 2009. That's a scary amount of stupid, stupid teenagers in Boston. Read the complete article...

Great Article: Which State Consumes the Most Porn?

I'll give you a hint...it's Utah. Second on the list is Alaska. Anyone find it telling that the places with the highest porn consumption are some of the most conservative?

Will CA be the first state to legalize marijuana?

Legalizing both marijuana and gay marriage would stimulate the Californian economy and put it back on track. If marijuana and gay marriage were legal maybe all you nice Californians would be getting actual tax refunds instead of IOUs!

Do You Know Who Kevin Pollak Is?

I didn't either...until I saw a picture. Pollak is an actor, writer and comedian who has appeared in numerous film. You may recognize him from his roles in the movies "A Few Good Men" and "The Usual Suspects". For more info on this interesting actor, check out his Mahalo page:

NBA All-Star Weekend

Okay, as much as I DO NOT care about sports...this weekend is the supposedly amazing NBA All-Star Weekend and my Mahalo co-workers and I have been working like crazy to provide the very best coverage. I worked on the Dwight Howard Dunk Contest page and the J.R. Smith Dunk Contest page...which is probably the most exposure to sports I'll have all year. But for those of you who are rabid sports fans...check out some of these awesome pages!

Grammys!!!

This Sunday is the Grammy Awards. By the sound of things this year's award show should be pretty interesting. Rapper M.I.A. is scheduled to perform...on her due date. Hmmmm....maybe the network is thinking that a spontaneous live celebrity birth will boost ratings.

In other Grammy news.... Joe Satriani, the guy who is suing Coldplay for plagiarism, had planned to serve the band with subpoenas for his plagiarism lawsuit...AT THE GRAMMYS! That would have sucked. Apparently Coldplay thought so too because they had their lawyer contact Satriani and tell him that he would take custody of the subpoenas for the band, thus saving them from an embarrassing scene.

I'm especially interested in the outcome of the "Song of the Year" award. One of the brother's favorite bands, Coldplay, is nominated for their song "Viva La Vida" while one of my favorite singers, Jason Mraz, is nominated for his song "I'm Yours". While I love "I'm Yours", I think I have to conceed that "Viva La Vida" is a better piece of music. If "I'm Yours" won over "Viva La Vida" it would be like being in a cooking contest and having steak and lobster lose to mac and cheese. Oh well, I guess we'll see what happens!

Once again, Mahalo is awesome enough to have excellent coverage of the Grammys...check out all the awesome info...

Super Bowl Ad Madness!

Well, once again the Super Bowl is almost upon us! Being a complete and total non-Sports person I didn't even find out which teams were playing until today...two days before the Super Bowl. What I'm really excited about this year are the ads. With the economic situation the way it is, advertisers have had to get creative. In fact, MillerCoors is releasing a one-second ad...probably because a one-second ad is novel enough to get them attention without shelling out the $3 million for a thirty-second spot.

Also, Super Bowl XLIII will be the first Super Bowl to feature ads in 3D! DreamWorks will present a promo ad for their upcoming film "Monsters vs. Aliens" and PepsiCo. is airing a 3D for SoBe Life Water. To enjoy the 3D-awesomeness of it all be sure to pick up a pair of special Super Bowl 3D glasses from a SoBe display at a grocery store near you. They're free and having a pair will undoubtedly make Super Bowl way more enjoyable!

There are going to be a lot of great ads this year...take a look!
